Acute Care Clinical Pharmacist

Clinical pharmacist in acute care providing pharmaceutical care, developing and monitoring evidence-based pharmacotherapy plans, reviewing orders for safety and effectiveness, and ensuring appropriate dosing and lab monitoring. Responsibilities include rounds with medical services, advising medical staff on drug therapy, supervising pharmacy technicians and interns, educating healthcare professionals, providing discharge medication counseling, handling sterile compounding, maintaining stock levels, and contributing to departmental policies to ensure safe, cost-effective medication use. Requires PA licensure within 90 days and at least a PharmD/BS in Pharmacy; doctorally preferred. Strong emphasis on patient outcomes, safety, and interprofessional collaboration.
