Job Summary
Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) in the ICU setting, including patient hygiene, activities of daily living, nutritional support, vital signs, attaching patients to monitoring, completing 12-lead ECGs, ambulation and other basic patient care activities. Assist the Monitor Technician by responding to calls and completing related tasks. Assist in ordering equipment and supplies, ensure room readiness and clean, manage resources for patient care, interact with patients, visitors and staff professionally, and ensure safe handling of infectious materials. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, current BLS, and at least one year of Nurse Assistant experience in an acute care setting; EMT or nursing school experience strongly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or GED certificate
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Minimum of one year of recent experience as a Nurse Assistant in an acute care setting
- EMT or Nursing School experience strongly preferred
