Job Summary
Acute Care Certified Nurse Practitioners and Acute Care Certified Physician Assistants are sought to join San Antonio Kidney, part of the Panoramic Health network, to provide patient-centered nephrology care including dialysis center rounding, daytime hospital coverage, and outpatient clinic coverage. The role targets clinicians with backgrounds in dialysis, nephrology, hospitalist medicine, or cardiology, with comprehensive training provided to support a smooth transition into nephrology. Candidates should hold a Master’s degree in nursing or physician assistant studies and ACNP certification, with competencies in advanced health assessment, physical examination, diagnosis, planning, and pharmacotherapeutics. The position offers a competitive base salary (dependent on experience) with potential bonus up to 10% net collections, PTO, sick days, holidays, and a flexible schedule within the described care scope.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree program in nursing or physician assistant studies with nationally recognized course content, formal clinical preparation with minimum hour standards per program requirements
- Acute Care Certified - Required
- Competencies in advanced health assessment, physical examination, diagnosis, planning, and managing care including pharmacotherapeutics
- Knowledge of patient assessment techniques including taking medical histories, performing physicals, evaluating health status including state of wellness, and compliance with care recommendations
- Knowledge of diagnosing and treating medical problems and developing care plans
- Knowledge of documentation in medical records in a confidential manner
