Job Summary
Acupuncturist position aboard international cruise ships with OneSpaWorld. Provide acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine treatments to onboard guests, conduct consultations, educate guests on acupuncture and Chinese herbs, and maintain accurate medical records. Role requires strong communication, ability to manage multiple treatment rooms, public speaking on TCM topics, and a customer-service oriented approach in a sales-oriented environment. Candidates must hold a current state license and/or be NCCAOM-certified (US) or equivalent; 2,000 hours of education/certification for non-US training; English fluency; willingness to work in a shipboard setting with room/board provided and travel between itineraries. Must be a team player with basic computer skills and compliant with maritime employment prerequisites (passport or visa eligibility, maritime medical exam, and training). Tasks include providing treatments, consultations, guest service, maintaining records, inventory management, and professional presentation.
Required Qualifications
- Current valid state license and/or NCCAOM certification for acupuncturists (US) or equivalent for foreign-educated practitioners; completion of required training and ability to provide acupuncture treatments; 2,000 hours of classroom/clinical study if educated outside the United States; English fluency; ability to manage multiple treatment rooms; strong interpersonal skills; ability to conduct initial and follow-up consultations; comfortable in a sales-oriented role; team player; basic computer skills; valid US passport or visa eligibility; maritime medical exam and training completion.
