Actuator Team Lead

Job Summary
Lead and build a cross-functional actuator team spanning electrical systems, motor design, geartrain, controls, and electronics to optimize efficiency, torque density, and manufacturability for the Phantom platform. Drive new actuator architectures through rapid prototyping and modeling while diving into technical challenges across mechanical, electrical, firmware, controls, and sourcing activities. Master 3D CAD, simulation (FEA, MATLAB, ANSYS), GD&T, and tolerance analysis to refine current designs and drive transformative robotics progress. Work in person in San Francisco with a bias for action within an agile, startup-like environment focused on creating advanced robots for complex environments.
Required Qualifications

- experience in robotics, automotive, or aerospace
- Robust understanding of electromechanical actuators
