Job Summary
Analyze and evaluate future events to reduce and manage risks in the role of an Actuary at Medica. Responsibilities include conducting actuarial analysis, valuations, cost estimates, statistical modeling, and rate level pricing. A Bachelor's degree and 7 years of relevant experience are required, along with FSA certification. Preferred qualifications include experience with pricing Self-Funded products and proficiency in Excel, SAS, or SQL.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field
- 7 years of work experience beyond degree
- FSA achieved or demonstrated performance over multiple years under the supervision of a qualified actuary
Desired Qualifications
- Experience pricing Self-Funded or Level-Funded products
- Experience with Stop-Loss pricing
- Healthcare experience
- Proficiency in Excel
- Experience in SAS or SQL
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to balance several projects and deadlines
