Job Summary
Actuarial Analyst for the Workers’ Compensation LOB responsible for processing state rate filings and developing filing strategy to execute rate plans. The role partners with Product to understand drivers of change in rate levels, supports product enhancements or new products to strengthen WC’s competitive position, and completes ad hoc projects to support business priorities. The candidate communicates with business partners and demonstrates strong technical, analytical, and communication skills, with a focus on documentation of sources and collaboration across teams. The hybrid role is based in Hartford, CT.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Actuarial exam path to become a credentialed actuary with at least 2 passed exams required
- Strong technical/analytical skills; proficiency in Excel required; experience with R/Python preferred
- Effective oral and written communications skills
- Independently motivated; teamwork skills including ability to effectively collaborate across various teams
