Responsibilities include data preparation, running models, result validation, documentation and testware development, identifying production issues, driving governance and controls, and partnering with the Appointed Actuary and stakeholders to ensure outputs are reliable, explainable, and impactful. The role emphasizes process improvements, ownership of responsibilities, and collaboration across teams. Preferred background includes SOA designation (Associate or Fellow), 5+ years of experience, strong analytical and communication skills, documentation excellence, and experience with actuarial tooling (Prophet, FactSet, R, Alteryx). Base pay range is $89,000 - $164,300, with a hybrid work arrangement requiring in-office collaboration 3 days per week if within commuting distance.
Required Qualifications
- Associate or Fellow of the Society of Actuaries designation, or equivalent credentials or experience
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with comfort navigating ambiguity
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to detail
- Experience with actuarial, financial, or data-driven production processes (preferred)
- Experience with actuarial modeling, reporting, or governance frameworks (preferred)
- Familiarity with Prophet, FactSet, R, Alteryx (preferred)
