Job Summary
Conduct experience studies analyzing persistency, mortality, morbidity, and expenses to support product pricing and development. Evaluate assumptions, profitability, and regulatory compliance for Medicare Supplement and other health products. Prepare rate filings, actuarial memorandums, and documentation while developing models in Excel or ALFA software. Contribute to re-rating analyses and renewal rate setting, presenting findings to management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams across actuarial, finance, marketing, and product development to deliver actionable insights.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics
- Attainment of ASA designation
- 2+ Years of familiarity with individual Health products, including Medicare Supplement
- Strong analytical and technical skills, including proficiency in Excel and exposure to modeling or statistical tools
- Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Commitment to professional growth through exam progression and continuing education
- Team-oriented mindset with a high attention to detail and accuracy
