Job Summary
Actuarial Analyst in the Capital and Reinsurance Management team supporting reinsurance administration and IFRS 17/RBC reporting, including premium and claims accruals, settlements, ledger reconciliations, regulatory and internal reporting, and audit support. Responsibilities include preparing settlement accounts for reinsurance treaties, managing UAT for treaty setups/amendments and data-system modernization, maintaining the reinsurance administration system, and enhancing processes with Alteryx and AI tools (workflow design, unit testing, UAT, production deployment). Additional duties involve monitoring reinsurance counterparty risk, per-life retention, and gains/losses for risk management, assisting periodic treaty reviews, reinsurer due diligence, ad-hoc projects, and developing modelling skills in Axis. Excellent communication in English and Chinese and ability to work both independently and with a team are required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or related disciplines
- 2-3 years of experience in the life insurance industry
- Good progress in actuarial exams
- Solid understanding of valuation, capital and financial reporting
- Experience in reinsurance is an advantage
- Experience in Alteryx is highly preferred
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Proactive and accountable; able to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Demonstrate initiative, accountability, and strong team commitment
- Excellent verbal and written communication, both English and Chinese
