Job Summary

Actuarial Analyst II on TD Insurance’s Data, Analytics & Insights team, focused on fraud analytics. Design and build automated dashboards and end-to-end fraud-monitoring pipelines; develop self-serve analytics tools for Fraud Operations and business partners; automate fraud reporting and workflows; perform deep-dive analyses to identify fraud patterns and operational gaps; translate findings into actionable recommendations influencing fraud strategy and business rules; evaluate performance of fraud initiatives; collaborate with Fraud and Underwriting operations; embed AI into analytics processes to modernize workflows; ensure data quality and promote best practices in BI and data storytelling; mentor and support team growth.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field
  • 2-7 years of experience in analytics, data analysis, and statistical analysis
  • Experience in the general insurance industry
  • Experience with fraud detection, anomaly identification, or risk analytics frameworks
  • Bilingual in English and French (required)
  • Strong coding skills in SQL and Python
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Shiny/Posit)
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaborative skills
  • Ability to explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
