Job Summary
Actuarial Analyst II on P&C Personal Lines pricing/indications/forecasting teams. Independently applies actuarial methodologies to complete structured projects, builds tools to test and implement new methodologies, analyzes results to propose reserve selections and updates rating variables, documents rationale, and mentors colleagues. Communicates insights to actuarial and non-actuarial stakeholders, identifies and resolves technical issues, and ensures risks are identified, measured, monitored, and controlled per risk/compliance policies. Requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, 2 years actuarial/analytical experience, and 3 CAS exams. Proficiency with data analysis tools (Python, R, SQL, SAS, BI tools), Excel, and familiarity with pricing software such as Earnix. Relocation assistance is available. Role requires in-office presence 4 days per week in one of the following US locations: San Antonio TX, Plano TX, Phoenix AZ, Colorado Springs CO, Charlotte NC, or Tampa FL. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree OR 4 years of related actuarial/business/analytical experience
- 2 years of actuarial or analytical business experience
- 3 Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) exams
- Experience with actuarial, mathematical, and statistical techniques
- Intermediate knowledge of data analysis tools (Python, R, SQL, SAS, BI tools)
- Familiarity with Excel and programming languages (Python, SQL, R, SAS)
- P&C Personal Lines pricing experience
- Familiarity with Earnix or similar pricing software
- US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner
