Job Summary
Actuarial Analyst I on USAA’s Pricing, Indications, and Reserving teams. You will independently apply complex actuarial methodologies to unstructured projects, validate data for trend analyses, run catastrophe models, and translate insights into business recommendations. You’ll also develop training on actuarial tools, identify process improvements, lead unit initiatives, and communicate results to diverse audiences, including executive leadership. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree (or 4 years of related actuarial/analytical experience), 4 years of actuarial or analytical experience, and proficiency with data-analysis tools (Python, R, SQL, SAS) and related software. US military experience or a military spouse/domestic partner is preferred. Compensation ranges from $103,450 to $197,730 with no visa sponsorship and hybrid work options in multiple US locations; relocation is not available. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (or 4 years of related actuarial/analytical experience in lieu of degree)
- 4 years of actuarial or analytical business experience
- Casualty Actuarial Society exams: no more than 2 away from ACAS, and VEEs completed
- Intermediate knowledge of data analysis tools and programming (Python, R, SQL, SAS, BI tools)
- Strong communication skills for technical and nontechnical audiences
- Experience in data quality assessment, trend analysis, and catastrophe modeling
- Ability to translate business problems into technical requirements and deliver insights to executive leadership
- Preferred US military experience or military spouse/domestic partner

- Office-based with hybrid flexibility (in-office 4 days per week in listed locations)
