Job Summary

Independently apply complex technical and actuarial methodologies to complete unstructured projects, translating business problems into technical requirements for rate level indications and catastrophe models. Utilize statistical techniques to augment work products, create training for teammates on actuarial tools, and identify compliance gaps while recommending process improvements. Synthesize complex information into clear value propositions and communicate insights to executive leadership, ensuring risks are effectively identified and controlled. Requires 4 years of actuarial or analytical business experience, proficiency in Python, R, SQL, or SAS, and no more than 2 CAS exams away from ACAS. Based in San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, Chesapeake, VA, or Tampa, FL, with a 4-day in-office schedule. Salary range is $103,450 - $197,730.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 4 years of Actuarial or analytical business experience
  • No more than 2 Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) exams away from Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) Credential
  • All Validation of Education Experience (VEEs) completed
  • Demonstrated competency with relevant actuarial, mathematical, and statistical techniques and approaches used to support fact-based decision-making
  • Intermediate knowledge of data analysis tools, data visualization, developing analysis queries and procedures in Python, R, SQL, SAS, BI tools or other analysis software
  • Experience communicating complex solutions and analysis to both technical and nontechnical audiences
  • Must be available for office 4 days per week
  • Position must be based in San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, Chesapeake, VA or Tampa, FL
  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position
