Job Summary
Analyze submissions, data entry into pricing models, and aggregations while conducting pricing analytics, assumption work, and tool maintenance. Prepare, evaluate, and analyze data across the actuarial team to provide business insights, and assist reserving and capital modelling by updating parameters and maintaining models for accuracy. Develop and maintain PowerBI dashboards, analyze external benchmarking data, and undertake research as required. Full-time role with sponsorship available for actuarial qualification. Join a Bermuda-based reinsurance team focused on Property, Casualty, and Specialty solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's, or Postgraduate, Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics or other relevant numerate subject
Desired Qualifications
- Progress towards an internationally recognized actuarial designation with an internationally recognized association
- Experience of working in the P&C (re)insurance industry
- prior knowledge of pricing, reserving or capital modelling
- Technical experience including SQL, R, Python and PowerBI
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office; particularly Excel and preferably to VBA programming level
- Knowledge of third-party actuarial software and catastrophe models
- An interest in data, analytics, financial modelling and problem-solving
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to prioritise, while remaining flexible to deal with changing work demands
- High levels of motivation and enthusiasm
- Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- Comfortable working as part of a team, or independently
