Job Summary
Activity Specialist responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading daily therapeutic and recreational activities for residents in inpatient and residential programs. Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams, trains Residential Care Associates, maintains schedules, documents same-day service notes, tracks supplies, supports treatment plan goals, and participates in mandated reporting. Requires strong organizational and communication skills, experience in healthcare activity planning, ability to manage group behavior, and on-site presence. Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy or related field; valid driver’s license with clean driving record preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience planning and implementing recreational activities in a healthcare setting.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage behaviors effectively in a group setting.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities.
- Ability to work with individuals across all age groups.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
