Job Summary
Activity Specialist / Enrichment Instructor needed to lead engaging and safe learning activities for students in a Summer Program at Arete Education in Washington Heights, NYC. Responsibilities include on-site attendance, collaboration with colleagues, maintaining attendance records, organizing curriculum and materials, delivering high-quality hands-on learning experiences, communicating with families and supervisors, using Google Apps and other tools, setting SMART goals, participating in trainings and staff meetings, and representing Arete Education with professionalism. Requires strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; ability to work with diverse youth and school communities; proficiency with Google Education Apps, Microsoft Office, Zoom, social media, and basic video/photo editing. Education requirement includes a High School diploma with Bachelor's Degree preferred; 2-3 years of relevant experience and background clearances are required.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience working in education and/or afterschool industry
- Mandated Reporter and Foundations in Health and Safety online trainings required (7-hours)
- Department of Health and Department of Education background clearance
- High School diploma (Bachelor's Degree preferred)
