Job Summary
Execute recreation programs for residents in large, small, or individual settings, including setup, transportation, and cleanup. Provide projects and materials to maintain cognitive and physical strength while maintaining a clean, safe environment on units or in the recreation room. Conduct verbal and written communication with departments to document attendance, ensure resident confidentiality, and transport residents on or off facility grounds. Maintain positive relations with families, visitors, and volunteers. This role supports Bethany St. Joseph Corporation's mission to serve Coulee Region families with quality care and an uplifting community atmosphere.
Required Qualifications
- Must be available to work one evening per week (6-8pm)
- Must be available to work 2 Saturday shifts per month (1pm-5pm)
- Maintain verbal and written communication with all departments as needed in the best interest of the residents
- Maintain resident confidentiality
- This position requires a mature individual
- Works well both independently and in teams
- Maintain a clean, safe environment when working with the residents
- Maintain positive relations with family/visitors/volunteers
- Document resident attendance through department attendance records
- Transportation of residents on or off facility grounds
Desired Qualifications
- Studying Recreation Therapy
- experience working in the Long Term Care Setting
