Job Summary
Assist the Director Activities in planning and carrying out the activity program by approaching residents on assigned units to plan individual recreational and social activities. Prepare resident information for care planning and documentation while writing progress notes as assigned. Maintain departmental inventory of equipment and supplies, track attendance records, and prepare other required reports. Approach community resources to support the activities program. Requires a valid New York Driver's License, high school diploma, and ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at an intermediate or advanced level. This role involves regular interaction with residents, staff, families, and visitors to foster a warm, accepting climate.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 18 yrs. age
- HS diploma or equivalent
- Valid New York Driver's License
- clean driving record
- Ability to develop good relationships with staff, volunteers, families and visitors
- Ability to inspire and motivate others
