Job Summary
Directly supervise volunteers in the Activities Department, including interviewing, hiring, training, assigning work, and addressing complaints. Provide activities tailored to age-related resident interests while maintaining supportive teamwork and patience with difficult residents. Relate resident condition information to nurses or supervisors as needed. This full-time role offers medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus a 401k match and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- Must demonstrate the knowledge, creativity, and skills necessary to provide activities appropriate to the age-related interests of our residents served.
- Must be a supportive team member, contribute to and be an example of team work and team concept.
- Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness to handle difficult residents.
- Must be able to relate information concerning a resident's condition to nurse or supervisor.
