Job Summary
Develop and plan group social activities, spiritual programs, creative arts, and exercise routines to meet residents' physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being. Coordinate a monthly calendar of activities, oversee Activity Aides, and train volunteers. Assess resident needs to develop goals for written care plans, encourage participation, and document progress in MDS reports and notes. Foster relationships with family members and community partners while participating in care plan meetings, QAPI, and department head meetings. Requires a high school diploma, training course completion, and two years of experience in social or recreational programs.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or its equivalent
- Satisfactory completion of a training course for Activity Directors
- 2 years minimum of experience in a social or recreational program
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Required to sit, stand, bend and walk regularly
- lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Visual and auditory ability sufficient for written and verbal communication
