Job Summary
Oversee and implement the Resident-oriented Activities program for the Assisted Living/Independent Living department. Create an active social environment by planning and promoting meaningful activities based on residents’ interests, managing budgets and calendars, scheduling and training staff, coordinating outings, and collaborating with departments to meet regulatory guidelines. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree preferred) and at least 2 years of experience in a healthcare-related social/recreational program with supervisory responsibilities. Must have a valid driver’s license, be able to pass a criminal background check, and exhibit strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills to engage residents, families, and staff.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as healthcare, social work, or gerontology is preferred
- 2 years of experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting
- Previous supervisory/management experience preferred
- Valid state driver’s license and acceptable driving record/MVR
- Ability to pass a criminal background clearance
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to establish relationships with residents, families, and staff
