Job Summary
Activity Director oversees the Residents Experience/Activities Department, creating and maintaining an active, social calendar aligned to residents’ interests. Responsibilities include managing budgets and scheduling, promoting engaging programming and outings for Assisted Living/Independent Living, training staff, supervising Community Programming staff, collaborating with administrators and marketing, coordinating with outside groups, and maintaining resident life profiles and records. Requires building relationships with residents, families, and staff; strong organizational skills; ability to train and develop staff; and compliance with OSHA and state regulations. Position located in Mankato, MN; in-person role.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in healthcare, social work, or gerontology
- 2 years experience in a social or recreational program in a healthcare setting
- supervisory/management experience preferred
- strong documentation skills
- ability to pass criminal background clearance
- valid state driver’s license with acceptable MVR
