Job Summary
Conduct all programming, organizing, scheduling, budgeting, and directing for community activities, excursions, and special events to enhance resident independence. Personally lead activities, recruit and manage Activity Assistants, Drivers, and volunteers, and maintain a safe environment for staff, residents, and guests. Drive community vehicles and facilitate exercise sessions, educational classes, and club formation while promoting resident participation. Work Sunday through Thursday from 9:00am to 5:30pm, with flexibility for holidays, evenings, weekends, and additional shifts. Maintain proficiency in MS Office programs and possess a current Class C license.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Class C license
- Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in providing planned activities
- Knowledge in evaluating residents' needs
- Flexibility in work schedule as evidenced by working holidays, evenings, weekends, and additional shifts when necessary to ensure adequate coverage within the department
- Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Must pass a Criminal Background check
- Must pass Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
- Must be able to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year of experience supervising and managing employees and volunteers
