Job Summary
Lead programming, organizing, and scheduling activities, excursions, and special events to enhance resident independence and quality of life. Personally lead activities, facilitate exercise sessions, and establish clubs, games, and educational classes to promote social participation. Recruit, develop, manage, and schedule Activity Assistants, Drivers, and Community Volunteers while maintaining a safe environment for all. Encourage teamwork across departments and ensure adequate coverage by working holidays, evenings, and weekends as needed. Must be able to drive Community vehicles and operate MS Office programs.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Class C license
- Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement
- Minimum of one (1) year experience in providing planned activities
- Knowledge in evaluating residents' needs
- Flexibility in work schedule as evidenced by working holidays, evenings, weekends, and additional shifts when necessary to ensure adequate coverage within the department
- Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Must pass a Criminal Background check
- Must pass Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
- Able to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year of experience supervising and managing employees and volunteers
