Job Summary
Plan and implement activity programs meeting residents' physical, mental, and psychosocial needs, including large, small, and individual group participation. Deliver resident mail, newsletters, and community information while coordinating volunteer recruitment and retention. Assist in staff morale functions and restorative programs enhancing residents' well-being. Maintain documentation for State and Federal regulations, including Minimum Data Set inputs and infection control compliance. Report witnessed allegations of abuse or neglect immediately to leadership. Work beyond normal hours, weekends, and holidays as necessary, including emergency evacuations. Use transfer belts or assistance when lifting residents exceeding 25 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must be able to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays when necessary.
- Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents during emergency situations.
- Must be able to perform the essential position functions of the job with, or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and, at times, hostile people within the Community.
- Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to ensure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
