Job Summary
Directs the Activity team in a healthcare setting, designing and facilitating high-quality recreational and social programs that encourage active participation from residents, families, staff, and the local community. Develops and implements a monthly activities calendar tailored to diverse resident needs, manages a cost-conscious activities budget and equipment inventory, and oversees the Community transportation program (driving the company van for organized outings). Coordinates the Resident Council and helps publish the community newsletter, reflecting core values of love, compassion, and dignity. Continuously assesses program impact, adjusting offerings to evolving resident interests, and supports program growth through strong organizational leadership and clear communication.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Must hold valid driver’s license
- Minimum age of 21 years or older preferred with driving record in good standing
- Prior activities/life enrichment experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Must possess leadership skills and the readiness to mentor, motivate, and inspire
- Demonstrates exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
