Job Summary
Support and enhance care by assisting the Occupational Therapist in a day service for individuals with learning disabilities and complex needs. Responsibilities include encouraging patient engagement in activities, planning and implementing therapy programmes, procuring materials, and contributing ideas for events in a safe, interdisciplinary team setting. Requires healthcare experience, knowledge of Occupational Therapy, creativity, and suitability for DBS checks. Location: Long Eaton Day Services, NG10 1DS, United Kingdom; schedule is full-time, 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri 9am-5pm. Salary approximately £13.69 per hour (converted to USD for annualized equity).
Required Qualifications
- Experience and/or a passion for working in healthcare and with learning disabilities
- Some knowledge of Occupational Therapy
- A creative flair and the ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team
- An awareness of recovery approaches and social inclusion (desirable)
- Enhanced DBS check
