Job Summary
Plan and facilitate daily, weekly, and monthly events to encourage socialization, relaxation, and recreation while adapting activities to suit residents with special needs. Manage logistics including phone calls, advertising, inventory, budgets, volunteer training, and transportation coordination. Observe participants to gauge enjoyment and obtain feedback for improvement, then keep records of resources, interests, injuries, and behavioral incidents. Report medical concerns or observations and ensure events are well-provisioned, staff is trained, and activities occur on time and within budget. Adhere to and enforce all safety procedures. This role operates in a health care setting requiring regular walking and the ability to lift objects over 50 pounds.
