Job Summary
Activities Assistant for St. Luke Portage Lakes at North Canton Campus. Responsible for developing and maintaining an activities schedule for residents, ensuring supplies are available, participating in discharge planning and activity care plans, documenting activity progress notes and assessments, transporting residents in accordance with laws, encouraging participation, supervising/teaching activities to residents, and assisting with monthly calendar and newsletter. Required Qualifications
- Prior experience in an Activities Assistant, therapeutic recreation, or similar role (highly preferred)
- Prior experience in Long-Term Care (highly preferred)
- Must be able to relay information concerning a resident's condition to the appropriate parties
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and lift a minimum of 50 pounds from a standing or squatting position
