Job Summary
Coordinate and facilitate daily activities, excursions, and special events to enhance residents' independence and quality of life. Assist the Activity Director in organizing clubs, games, educational classes, and guest speakers while recruiting, managing, and scheduling community volunteers. Maintain a safe environment for staff and guests, drive community vehicles, and communicate tactfully with residents, families, and co-workers. Requires current Class C driver's license, ability to use MS Office, and must pass background checks and health screenings. Full-time Sunday through Thursday role at Ivy Park at La Palma.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Requires current Class C license
- Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement
- Must pass a Criminal Background check
- Must pass Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests
- Able to drive Community vehicles
- Able to operate a personal computer
- Proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
- Prefer one (1) year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors
- Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement
