Job Summary
Activity Assistant plans and implements activities to meet residents’ physical, mental, psychosocial needs and interests, working with large groups, small groups, and individuals. Responsibilities include documenting as required by state and federal regulations, maintaining confidentiality, reporting abuse/neglect, ensuring timely attendance, assisting in activity planning (monthly contributions, calendars, name tags), monitoring compliance with regulations (including blood borne pathogens, infection control, hazardous materials, fire safety, and Residents’ Rights), and performing the essential physical requirements (reading/writing/speaking English, lifting 30 pounds, ability to work beyond normal hours as needed, and ability to evacuate residents in emergencies). Requires basic computer skills and may involve operating a motor vehicle per Company policies.
