Job Summary
Activity Assistant supports organizing, scheduling, promoting, facilitating, and directing activities and excursions to enhance residents’ independence and quality of life. Responsibilities include assisting the Activity Director to create a engaging social atmosphere, recruiting and managing community volunteers, communicating effectively with residents and families, maintaining safety standards, and driving community vehicles. Requires HS diploma or equivalent, 18+, and relevant license/clearances; preferred experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors; operates MS Office; shifts are Sunday-Thursday, 9:00am–5:00pm; located at Oakmont of Valencia, CA. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Prefer one year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors
- Current Class C license, prefer Class B or C with Passenger Endorsement
- Able to drive community vehicles
- Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests including TB
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint)
