Job Summary
Activity Assistant needed to provide individual, group and 1:1 activities for residents at a skilled nursing facility; collaborates with the Activity Department to implement the activity calendar, conducts scheduled groups/activities, attends outings and team meetings, assists with meals and special events, and documents participation. Must be or be eligible to become State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA) to enable active participation in activity delivery; candidates should communicate well, enjoy working with elderly residents, staff, and families, and participate in program development and resident well-being efforts. Required Qualifications
- Must be (or must be eligible to become) State Tested Nurse Aide to allow more active participation with activity delivery
- Willing to learn and communicates well with others
- Has a sincere desire to work with elderly and enjoys working directly with residents, staff and families.
