Activity Assistant- ALZ

Activity Assistant positions assist with organizing, scheduling, promoting, facilitating, and directing activities and excursions for the Community to enhance residents' independence and quality of life. Responsibilities include supporting the Activity Director in creating a engaging social atmosphere, coordinating and promoting resident participation through high-quality activities, excursions, events, guest speakers, movie showings, exercise sessions, clubs, art and creativity opportunities, and educational classes; developing and scheduling community volunteers; effective communication with residents, families, visitors, co-workers, and supervisors; maintaining a safe environment by following established safety standards; and the ability to drive community vehicles. The role requires at least 18 years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and may prefer a year of experience coordinating or teaching activities with seniors; a valid Class C license (prefer Class B or C with Passenger Endorsement); computer proficiency (MS Office); and passing a criminal background check and health screening.
