Job Summary
Plan and implement resident activities, including group programs, outings, special events, and recreational activities designed to promote socialization, engagement, and overall well-being. Prepare materials, decorate activity areas, set up equipment, and ensure a safe environment while transporting residents to and from events. Encourage participation through one-on-one engagement for residents unable to join groups and build relationships with residents, families, and staff. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to address resident needs, maintain accurate attendance records, and keep activity areas clean and stocked. Complete required training and education programs to stay current with industry best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Must successfully complete all required background checks and pre-employment screenings.
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in activities, recreation, customer service, healthcare, or long-term care is preferred but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to assist residents with activities and transport as needed.
