Job Summary
Activity Aide responsibilities include planning and implementing daily activity programs, facilitating group and individual activities, promoting dignity and independence, transporting residents to activities, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring safety and cleanliness of activity areas. The role emphasizes engaging older adults through social, recreational, and therapeutic activities, documenting participation, supporting emotional well-being, and contributing to person-centered care. Training is provided to obtain Nursing Assistant certification if not already certified; ability to lift up to 25 pounds and collaborate with various departments are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Must be willing to obtain Nursing Assistant certification through on-site training
- Must meet all employment and background check requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors during scheduled programs and outings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
