Job Summary
Contribute to ongoing weekly activity programmes to stimulate the physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing of all residents. Provide innovative activities enabling residents to achieve extraordinary things and ensure adequate risk assessments are in place for all events. Motivate and guide other staff to incorporate wellbeing into their roles while familiarising yourself with each resident's life story and activity plan. Understand the needs of people with various conditions and take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of adults. Demonstrate the ability to prioritise and handle emergency situations effectively. This role supports the Wellbeing Coordinator in developing a whole-team approach to activities at Wilmslow Manor Care Centre.
Required Qualifications
- Experience of working with older people
- Experience of delivering an activity programme
- Evidence of the ability to assess, plan and evaluate the activity needs of older people
- The ability to work individually and in a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- The ability to prioritise and handle emergency situations effectively
- Be creative, imaginative and enthusiastic and have the ability to forward plan
- Alternate weekend working
- Flexibility in terms of hours worked
