Activities/Volunteer Coordinator

Job Summary
Plan, organize, implement, and evaluate activities and volunteer programs that enhance the quality of services for seniors. Recruit, train, schedule and supervise volunteers; coordinate meaningful activities and events; serve as liaison with Volunteers of America to promote volunteer engagement and foster relationships. Develop monthly activity schedules in collaboration with site managers; facilitate recreational, wellness, arts and crafts, social recreation and games; evaluate participant satisfaction and adjust programming. Represent the agency at community projects and events; create agency content for social media; secure sponsorships and manage venues and day-of tasks; maintain activity and volunteer databases and prepare required reports; manage activity center recreation budgets.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Human Services, Social Work, Recreation, Public Relations, or related field preferred
- 2-3 years related experience in non-profit or human services environment preferred
- Experience in public relations, marketing, and social media
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and basic database management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; oral and written
- Ability to exercise sound judgement, maintain confidentiality and work independently
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, clients, volunteers and community partners
