Activities Supervisor

Job Summary

Oversee beach and pool areas during shifts, ensuring safety guidelines are followed and equipment is properly set up, maintained, and stocked. Manage Recreation Attendants while maintaining cleanliness, organizing furniture, and monitoring towel inventory. Assist guests with equipment checkouts, including distributing liability waivers and reviewing safety information, while proactively addressing their needs and concerns. Conduct daily shift checklists, perform inventory of supplies, and report any repairs or safety issues immediately. Provide basic first aid and familiarize yourself with emergency procedures, ensuring rescue equipment remains operational. Anticipate guest needs, initiate conversations, and apply the "10 and 5 rule" to deliver courteous, service-oriented interactions.

Required Qualifications

  • Certified in First Aid and CPR (or ability to obtain)
  • Lifeguard Certification and/or Training preferred, but not necessarily required
  • Watersports equipment knowledge (for example: kayaking, paddle boarding, kiteboarding, snorkeling, scuba diving, etc.)
  • Organizational guidelines and best practices
  • Guest service best practices within the hospitality industry and property expectations
  • Applicable federal, state, and local laws to the operation
  • Property and local area (services offered, facilities, restaurants, activities, etc.)
  • Previous customer service experience helpful
  • Previous experience with watersports and equipment helpful
  • Property software systems (ability to learn software)
  • Working independently and collaboratively as part of a team
  • Attention to detail

  • Guest service (including anticipating needs), people skills, and interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving

  • Two to four years related experience and/or training
