Job Summary
Supervise extracurricular athletics and non-athletic student activities, including daily student supervision and home event administration. Schedule school facility use, manage game day equipment setup, and oversee transportation for after-school and away events. Check fields for readiness, maintain equipment, and assist custodians with setup. Promote community relations by communicating with officials, physicians, and parents regarding incidents or rule concerns. Address issues before, during, and after contests while adhering to MSHSAA guidelines. Visit all school locations as needed, lead evening and weekend events, and perform assigned tasks. Requires a Bachelor's degree, three years of teaching experience, and physical stamina for moderate lifting and non-traditional hours.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Missouri secondary principal's certificate
- At least three years of successful experience as a classroom teacher
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Consistent and regular attendance
- Ability to visit all school locations as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities
- Physical stamina to handle challenging work schedules
- Respect for students, teachers, parents, and support staff
- Ability to attend and lead various events, including evenings and weekends
- Ability to lift moderate weights up to 40 pounds transferring materials to schools
- Ability to interact with a wide variety of persons in a challenging setting
- Ability to work in a variety of locations and travel throughout the district
- Ability to meet the physical demands of handling a variety of student needs
- Ability to sit, talk, hear, walk, stand, see and reach
Desired Qualifications
- Major in educational administration
- Experience as a Head Coach or with activities/athletics
