Activities Specialist - Cottagewood Senior Communities

Personalized Activities Specialist assists with the day-to-day delivery of resident-centered activities and programs for a senior community. Under the supervision of the Activities and Volunteer Coordinator, the role involves creating activities (physical, spiritual, social and emotional) for residents, conducting/planning activities for groups up to 32 residents, encouraging participation, assisting residents to activity areas, documenting participation, maintaining activity areas and inventory, and ensuring safety and OSHA compliance. The position emphasizes coordinating with the team to maintain a balanced program, reviewing resident information (Logs, ISP) for tailored activities, protecting confidentiality, and delivering effective small-group presentations. Key skills include leading high-energy activities, strong written and verbal communication, organizational and time-management abilities, good judgment and problem-solving, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. One year of related experience in a senior living setting is preferred; the role requires the ability to work semi-independently and handle multiple priorities.
