Job Summary
Activities Specialist – COTA provides programs and activities to support habilitation, wellness and recreation at Adult Day Health sites, in participants’ homes, and via telehealth; completes assessments and individualized treatment plans, travels between sites, assists with transportation safety, covers OT services when needed, develops care plans and documents progress; must have OTA curriculum completed with MA licensure, CPR certification, and 1-2 years’ geriatric program development experience; full-time, Monday–Friday 8am–4pm, no weekends or holidays; strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, EMR); requires ability to pass fit test for respirator use; EEO employer.
Required Qualifications
- Must have successfully completed an O. T. A. curriculum approved by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education, Inc. with a minimum of an Associate’s Degree.
- Maintains current Occupational Therapy Assistant licensure in the Commonwealth of MA
- Maintains current CPR Certification
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with a geriatric population.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in program development.
