Job Summary
Answer incoming calls and email inquiries for lodging and activities reservations at Jay Peak Resort. Process advance deposits, relay cancellation policies, and send confirmation letters while verifying availability and quoting costs. Up-sell guests into on-resort amenities such as lessons, Clips and Reels, and dinner reservations. Perform outbound calls to ensure extra activities are reserved before arrival and assist guests in understanding lodging accommodations and packaging options. Maintain current knowledge of lodging specials, sell rates, and resort events to maximize room revenue. Adapt to a fast-paced winter resort environment with varying hours, emphasizing weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to use multiple property software programs to successfully complete guest needs
- Professional customer service/communication skills & telephone etiquette
- Ability to retain and explain details patiently to callers
- Ability to learn and work with GDS Providers
- Must be willing to adapt to constant changes in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with computer software, such as Excel and Word
- Ability to learn Maestro software
- Sales skills and good customer service manner
- Proper footwear
