Job Summary
Plan, implement and evaluate lifestyle and recreational programs for residents in a residential aged care setting, including activities for residents living with dementia. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to support resident care and wellbeing outcomes, assist with resident lifestyle care plans and documentation, lead volunteers, coordinate community engagement events, and ensure safety, compliance with policies, and budget-conscious resource management. This fixed-term, part-time role is based at Parkview, Chermside, Australia, with potential for transition to a permanent part-time position.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in planning, implementing and evaluating lifestyle or recreational programs
- Experience supporting older people, including those living with dementia
- First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module (“Quality, Safety and You”)
- Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to drive in the course of work
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle or equivalent
- Experience working with volunteers in a care or community setting
- Proof of vaccination status as required by legislation or WMQ policy
- Ability to build strong, respectful relationships with residents, families and team members
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems
