Job Summary
Leads a variety of activities for residents, including one-to-one and group activities on/off assigned unit(s) and in the community/outings. Plans, develops, coordinates, and evaluates diversified, resident-centered activities; assists with scheduling holidays and events; decorates for holidays and maintains bulletin boards. Escorts residents to activities, maintains activity documentation, and communicates plans with the activity coordinator and other departments. May participate in resident/family council meetings and involve families in planning activities. Requires energetic, passionate, and creative individuals who are comfortable with confused residents; strong planning, organization, and interpersonal skills; basic computer literacy; and a valid driver’s license. Shows commitment to quality care and supporting socialization and community involvement for residents.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Active state driver’s license
- Possibility of CDL license to drive 16-passenger or larger vehicle (may be required)
