Job Summary
Activities Leader expected to lead a variety of resident activities both one-to-one and in groups on/off units and during community outings. Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and evaluating diversified, resident-centered activities; assisting with holiday/special events and postings; escorting and engaging residents; coordinating with the activity coordinator/director and other departments; advocating for resident needs and rights; maintaining activity documentation; and assisting with ADL tasks as needed. Requires energetic, creative individuals with strong interpersonal skills, comfort with working with potentially confused residents, and the ability to work as part of an interdisciplinary team. High school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required; CDL may be required for driving larger vehicles.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Tactful communication with team members, residents, families and public
- Must be able to plan, organize, and conduct a variety of activities
- Basic computer literacy
- Active state driver’s license
- CDL license to drive a vehicle seating 16 passengers or more (may be required)
