Job Summary
Activities Director at Walnut Grove Care and Rehab Center oversees monthly activity calendars, plans and implements resident activities, photographs and reports results for media pages, coordinates special activities and events (including Marketing-related events), cultivates referral sources, coordinates volunteers, and assists residents in movement and engagement. Requires collaboration with residents and families, strong communication, ability to manage logs/charting, and maintain safety and confidentiality. Requires weekend/holiday/evening availability, CNA license preferred in Oklahoma, CPR/CAPE certifications, reliable and team-oriented demeanor, and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Two (2) years of experience in a social or recreational program within the last five (5) year, one of which was full time in patient (resident) activities program in a healthcare setting
- CNA license for the state of Oklahoma is preferred
- Current CPR, CAPE certifications
- Ability to lead facilitated group activities
- Must have current state driver’s license with clean driving record
- Basic computer knowledge for implementation of patient/client information, electronic record keeping
