Job Summary
Plan, organize, and implement programs of activity and leisure pursuits to meet the social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational, and physical needs of residents in accordance with their comprehensive care plan. Conduct social and recreational programs within a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting. Maintain a professional image and demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills while fostering a flexible, fun, and energetic environment. This role requires a Certified Activities Director or related degree with at least one year of experience in a health care setting. Required Qualifications
- Accreditation as a Certified Activities Director
- Bachelor's degree in recreation therapy or related area
- Should be licensed or registered either nationally or by the State in which practicing
- Minimum of one year of experience as an Activities Director in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting
- Two years of experience conducting social and recreational programs within the past five years
- One year of experience conducting social and recreational programs in a full-time resident activities program in a health care setting
- Professional image in both appearance and behavior
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
