Job Summary
Plan, organize, and implement a program of activity and leisure pursuits designed to meet the social, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, educational, and physical needs of residents in accordance with the comprehensive resident care plan. Conduct social and recreational programs within a health care setting, ensuring alignment with resident preferences and unique needs. Maintain a professional image in appearance and behavior while demonstrating excellent written and oral communication skills. Required Qualifications
- Accreditation as a Certified Activities Director
- Bachelor's degree in recreation therapy or related area
- Should be licensed or registered either nationally or by the State in which practicing
- Minimum of one year of experience as an Activities Director in a LTC/SNF/AL/MC setting
- Two years of experience conducting social and recreational programs within the past five years
- One year of experience must be full-time in a resident activities program in a health care setting
- Professional image in both appearance and behavior
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
